More than 400 million people around the world use the facebook sensation. Many people have found love over this social network, while others simply thought they did. In many circumstances a person has thought they fell in love with a person they thought they knew from facebook, but then they find out the person doesn’t exist or is another person, or a rapist.

The movie “catfish”, directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Shulman, is about a boy named Nev who is a photographer. He gets a painting in the mail of one of his pictures from an 8 year old girl. He makes friends with this girl and her family and eventually ends up dating her sister. Nev lives in New York and his now girlfriend lives in Michigan. Later he finds out some unexpected twists and turns.

Nev and his friends decided to make a documentary film based on this 8 year old painter from Michigan named Abby. As they film this documentary they discover a couple mysteries and adventure their way from New York to Michigan. When they arrive, the plot only thickens.

One part of the movie that really caught my attention was when Nev and his friends are in the car driving to Michigan and just before it cuts off, one of them says “lets pick up some ‘dust’ I don’t want to be asleep.” This to me could only mean that they are looking for cocaine or something, because I can’t think of anything else it would mean. However, I don’t believe that if they really meant cocaine, because I don’t think that would be allowed to be in that movie. So I’m stumped.

I recommend this movie to teens especially, and adults alike. It is a fantastic movie, yet not suitable for children viewers. I think teens and most adults would find this film to be fascinating, mainly because they are the population of facebook, but also because it’s a love story with a lot of twists and turns. Nev has to face many obstacles just to meet the person he thinks he’s dating.

the movie was pretty good. i thought that angela was a psycho lady that needs a real life, instead of her faebook life. she probably ruined nev. he probably has a really hard time trusting people now, especially girls, and probably is getting fat. he probably never really got to move on and hates women now. hes probably gay now.

day 2

i have reason to believe that nev and his camera friends are doing blow behind the scenes. as they were driving to megans farm one of them said "i dont want to sleep. lets pick up some 'dust'" 'Dust' is a term used for several drugs but mostly cocaine which is used to stay awake! O.o

this movie is crazy. its really good but i think the indian guy is going to get raped at the end or find out that megan is a stripper or a man! i want to find out what catfish means...

i dont understand why at the end of the movie it had to explain that the book was turned into a movie. obviously it was because we were watching the movie. i need to fill up another couple minutes with this writing thing so im going to make it look like im working. durka durka mihamed jihad... i love yoohoo. it is the greatest thing in the entire world. i dont understand why i donthave one in my hand right now, but i dont like it. i think im going to pick one up after school.. that sounds like a great idea josh. i should come with you! ok sounds great! swell! cantaloupe.

this video didnt suprise me one bit. i knew that porn was the number one use of the web, i knew that everythings changing because of internet. its because as humans we are lazy and want to do as least work as possible. this is why we are fat.
